Unlike most employment web sites, Thingamajob not only displays job opportunities, but also provides free staffing services which extend beyond the web site. If a job seeker does not find a job on Thingamajob, a local recruiter with one our their divisions will still help find employment.
The site is fairly accessible to most technologies. It is largely text-based, so the issues associated with images are minor. Some images do not have appropriate alternate text, which can create confusion for some users. A few pages automatically insert cursor focus in the first form field of the page, which can be confusing for visually impaired users. Dragon NaturallySpeaking users must utilize the "Click Image" command to access image links that lack alternate text. The Job Search page automatically refreshes when a state is selected from the drop-down list, which can cause confusion for JAWS users.
