Illinois Work Incentive Grant
Assistive Technology Support Site

Site: FlipDog (http://www.flipdog.com/)
Reviewed: December 2003

Overview:

FlipDog is a jobsearch site which claims to deliver the largest job collection. They compile job listings directly from employer Web sites and present a fairly comprehensive directory of jobs found on the Web. All the services at FlipDog.com are free of charge to the job seeker, but you must be a registered user to take advantage of the full range of FlipDog.com's services, such as the ability to post your resume, apply for positions, and create automated JobHunt.

Accessibility:

The accessibility of the FlipDog site is average, and most users will be able to access the services with little or no difficulty. However, searching for jobs within a specific area can be problematic for screen reader and certain other accessibility technology users. Users must click an image-map of the United States and select specific cities from a list provided via a JavaScript application to select a region. No alternate method is provided. Certain users may be unable to enter any limiting criteria other than certain keywords, making the Job Search section of the site inaccessible.
