The QuickCam Pro 4000 is a standard web camera with a digital zoom, built-in microphone, and high-quality VGA CCD sensor. With this device, customers who are deaf or hard of hearing can receive immediate interpreter services in the One-Stop by making a live video calls through a free online relay service. The hearing impaired customer will sit at a computer equipped with a web camera. Next, he must login in to a relay service provider where he will be prompted to put in the telephone number that he wishes to dial. The call is channeled to an online sign language interpreter who should appear in a small window on the computer screen after he has entered the telephone number. The interpreter makes the call and begins relaying a message from the caller to the person who answers the telephone. The person on the other end of the call speaks to the interpreter and the interpreter relays the voice message back to the caller using sign language.
