The Epson Perfection 1640SU scanner is provided for use with the OpenBook scanning/reading software. It is a standard document scanner that has been tested for compatibility with OpenBook. It includes an integrated 30-sheet automatic document feeder (ADF).

Installation Notes:

The Epson Perfection 1640SU attaches to the PC using a USB connection. It requires Windows 98 Second Edition or newer. (An optional SCSI connection is compatible with Windows 95, but requires the purchase of an additional SCSI interface card.)

The Epson Perfection 1640SU Scanner Software installation CD includes a variety of software, but only the Epson TWAIN Driver needs to be installed.
